One To Many GEDmatch Comparison
« on: Tuesday 30 July 24 13:43 BST (UK) »
I have a DNA kit on GEDmatch which has come up with a 379.5cM match with another kit. It has more than double the cM total of the second highest match and 10x that of the third, so I find it very interesting as 380cM appears to indicate a possible 1C1R or 2C match.

I first ran the Limited version of the On-to-Many comparisoin on both kits, sorted the results on name and saw that there were no other common matches aparted from themselves.

So I then ran the original verion of One-to-Many on both kits and compared them visually and at first glance there appear to be no common matches there either, although I need to work out how do do a full comparison to be sure (any ideas for doing that?).

Would it be surprising if a 380cM match didn't share other matches with each other?

Edit: I ran the Match Kits test and found that there are 17 matches.
