Rebecca Baker b.1775, Lichfield
« on: Thursday 01 August 24 14:32 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to find some information (any!) on my ancestor Rebecca Baker, who was born in Lichfield c.1775. Her parents were John Baker (1748-1822) and Ann Baker nee Woodfield (1750-1828). I wasn't able to find much or track down her movements through the records. I was wondering if the pros here may be able to assist? Many thanks in advance. D

Ohhh. Thanks Willow. That will explain why she isn't in the census records later on then. Dying at 14. That's quite tragic.

I think that the NBI entry is just speculating as it says infant.  Never trust a transcript  ;D

The parish register image, available on FindMyPast, does state that the burial on 11 July 1789 is for

Rebecca Baker an infant.
Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

It could be a case that she didnt marry but lived with someone under their name in which case we have little chance of finding her
