I have a number of DNA matches (highest 43cM across 5 segments) who trace back to a Georgia Anna Curran (1891-1965) of Kentucky, USA. Her father was a Lawrence Curran of Ireland (her mother a Mary Kelly), no further detail.
Now there is a Lawrence Curran born in June 1866 in Doonane, Queen's County, to John Curran and Honora Shortall (civil record). John and Honora married in February 1866 in Castlecomer (civil record). John's father was another Lawrence Curran. There, the trail goes cold. So far, nothing to confirm either way that these are the same Lawrence Curran.
My 2nd great grandmother was born Mary Curran of Doonane in 1821, father John Curran. Nothing to connect to any Lawrence Curran of Doonane, but Doonane would have been a very small place.
Is there anywhere else I can go with this? I would love some documentary evidence to back up and confirm the DNA matches, but RootsIreland is sparse with Curran baptisms in the parish registers.
