Death of Thomas Ryan in February 1907 (Vehicular Manslaughter)
« on: Monday 19 August 24 00:54 BST (UK) »
Can anyone find the outcome of this case?

Ireland, Petty Session Court Registers, Tipperary, 1818-1919 for John Sawer
Defendant: John Sawyer (Aherlow Castle)
Victim: Thomas Ryan
Incident date: Feb. 16th, 1907
Trial date: Feb. 28th, 1907

Johnny boy was hell on wheels apparently, he had been ticketed for hitting someone prior as well.

Your link to Ancestry only opens at a subscription page (for Ancestry non-users).
Can you not snip the relevant text and add the attachment for others to see?
It is much better if you can post a clip of the image.

The court record (viewable on FindMyPast) simply says "Information Refused".

The Cork Examiner of 22nd February, 1907 has a fairly detailed article on the inquest.
The Cork Weekly Examiner of 9th March, 1907 carries a report on the Petty Sessions, which ends with the statement that "(District Inspector)Moore applied to have accused sent for trial as he submitted that a prima facie case had established".
Can't find any mention after that.
