I'm looking for the baptism of Sarah Innocent daughter of Stephen and Ann Smyth/Smith. They married in 1772 and I think Sarah was born to this union. To make matters confusing Stephen had previous been married to Ann Collier and they had a daughter Sarah b in 1763. They all lived in the Mancetter/Atherstone area. The 1763 is not consistent with her death in Kingsbury ( which is where her husband William Lowns was born) and would make her around 18 years Williams senior who was possibly underage on the birth of their first child also William.  All help is much appreciated thank you in advance x

Thank you Mabel it's a common name in that area and there are a lot of them. It wasn't very thoughtful of Stephen to have 2 wives called Ann and possibly 2 daughters called Sarah. I have looked for her and it comes up blank. Thanks again M x

Hi Debra, she died in a place called   Gospel Oak. It's somewhere between Atherstone and Kingsbury coming under Kingsbury. The registration was Tamworth. She has been very tricky to find. She was mistranscribed as Sounds her husband being Lounds from Kingbury. They had their family in the Atherstone/Mancetter area. The informant on the DC is the link back to Mancetter where he had his children and married wives. On the 1841 he also was living at Gospel Oak. Sarah (not so Innocent) it seems was living 'over  the brush' M x

Sarah Innocent married William Lowns in Mancetter on 28 Apr 1798 if this helps anyone.

I have this thank  you Hailared it's her baptism I really need I cannot believe she would be the 1763 one as it would make her 17/18 years his senior. Their first child William between 1793-5 (from census and death) it's also not consistent with her death. I'm sure previously I have found a later birth maybe when I went to Atherstone library but can't find it now. Thanks again M
