Searching for my great grandfather, William Williams was born about 1872 and married Elizabeth Alice Lucas on Sept 15 1896 in Ilkley, Yorkshire, England.  I was trying to get a death cert for William William who passed in June 1901 aged 29 Sheffield, Yorkshire, West Riding, United Kingdom, and inferred Death Place Yorkshire West Riding, United Kingdom.  Searching for information on William Williams any help would be grateful.  Also searching for workhouse records for the near old road Farsley Yorkshire West Riding, England.  Not sure if there is a 1901 census for the workhouse.  His, daughter Selina Williams was baptized in Dewsbury Moor, St John the Evangelist, Yorkshire, England on 21 Dec 1899.

Familysearch has the christening of Selina JANE Williams, born 7th December and christened 21st December 1899, at Dewsbury Moor;  parents William and Alice.

Elizabeth Alice Lucas was 28 so b 1868

One of the witnesses was Selina Jane Lucas

There is a birth in Wareham Dorset 1868 for Elizabeth Alice Lucas & another also in 1868 for Selina.  Both births show mmn Savage so they were twins

So is this the wrong family?  Odd to have exactly the same christening date.

Church Knowle is in Dorset
