Andrews Sisters
« on: Friday 11 October 24 13:51 BST (UK) »

I was hoping someone might be able to help me tie up some loose ends with my Andrew’s side of the family

I’ve identified that my 2nd Great Grandfather Charles Andrews B.14/09/1877 D. 23/12/1955 Married Alice May Eveline Best

I’ve Identified that Ada Andrews B.1880 D. 1938 (His Sister) Married William Joyce and had 7 Children (Mostly untrackable aside Her Daughter Elsie’s Side)

However I’m struggling to create that extra branch for his 3 other sister’s, I was hoping someone might be able to tie the loose ends with that?

Their’s

Alice Andrews
Born 17 Nov 1875 Wolverhampton

Florence “Flora” Andrews B. 1873 ^ Same

And Frances Louisa Andrews B.1869 Poss Illigitimate born with mothers MN (Beech)

Happy Hunting!

There is a death for a Florence Andrews, aged 18yrs in 1891. Have you checked that?
Also a marriage, 1894 to George Thurston See.

There are births for Flora Andrews mmn Beech and Florence Andrews mmn Teddington though.

In 1891, your family were in Railway Street Heath Town.
The 1891 death - Florence Andrews is buried in Heath Town , Holy Trinity Chrchyard according to ‘Find a Grave’. The inscription fits re the address.

I can’t seem to find it! But I did have a newspaper clipping via FindMyPast (Circa 1972) that stated a relative from America was searching for her Relatives from Wolverhampton, and was interested in the family of May & Charles Andrews of Oxley Moore Road, she was in contact with Elsie Butcher (nee Joyce) about her enquiry, might be worth trying to fish that out if anyone has a subscription, could possibly support CiderDrinker’s finding’s.

No further information than you have posted. Except it’s a man, not a woman who is searching (with his wife)
