Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Have you tried other local BMD sites, such as Yorkshire BMD or Cheshire BMD? Or even UKBMD

Just out of interest, to see if it's only Lancs BMD where the problem exists for you.
