Re marriage - Parents were John Jacques & Sarah Giddings who must have married pre 1837.  1868 was marriage of John jnr

When I posted that reply I was unaware there were also children born pre-1837

Seems unlikely his birth was registered

Sorry his parents married 1835 first child born 1837, 1840 and next 1842 I have found all of them just not John Jaques born abt 1844.

Unless I'm missing them - I don't see any birth reg for son George unless pre 1837 Frederick b 1847/48 or son William around 1849 or Charles who was 1mth old in 1851

Emma seems to be the only birth registered

Now you have said that it looks likely I have checked Frederick and Charles and cannot find them although they did Baptise them, how odd!!
