Wotton Hill cemetery burial record 1922 lookup please

Connected to this thread.  https://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=878975.msg7511685#msg7511685

I am looking for the burial record of Harold Vernon Smith who may be in Wotton Hill cemetery.  Apparently Gloucestershire Archives hold the records (https://catalogue.gloucestershire.gov.uk/records/D6143/2/1/11) so if anyone is visiting the archives, and has the time, please could you look for this person?
B:16 Feb 1898 in Beeston, Nottinghamshire, England
D:9 Nov 1922 in County mental hospital, Wotton Hill, Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England

Thanks.

As you have his exact date of death have you rung the the archives to check if they will do a lookup for you

I emailed with the details and they just sent me details of visiting (but I’m not local). They didn’t offer a lookup for a fee, which other archives have done, so they seem not to do that.

I don’t know where he was buried so they did suggest contacting the civil cemeteries too, which I will be doing today.

I can’t find the burial on Ancestry’s Glos parish records although the archives told me they were parishes missing.

The family may have buried him in another county but hard to know where.

He died of diphtheria so I don't know if death from an infectious disease would have a bearing on where he was buried?

Added: His death cert states:
Age 24. Of The Vicarage, Leighterton Tetbury, RD. Bank clerk. Died of Diphtheria 5 days. No post mortem.

I was wondering that as well.  Did the mental hospital have it's own cemetary?

That was what I asked the archives first, and they said

'Wotton Cemetery in Horton Road was the burial ground for some patients. It was in use from 1846-1961. We hold the register of burials for the period concerned.'

At the suggestion of the archives, I phoned Gloucester cemeteries archives and they found him:

Tredworth Cemetery burial no. 1214 grave B1511
Buried 14 Nov 1922, last address High St, city of Gloucester.
Officiating minister C W Janvrin (who is listed for quite a few records - the archivist suggested he was possibly the minister for the mental hospital)

Thanks everyone for reading my request.

Added: just searched on this cemetery and it is Tredworth Road cemetery, sometimes known as Gloucester Old Cemetery.

Thanks for your suggestions. Much appreciated, as ever.

Sometimes just formulating the question for RC focusses the mind doesn't it?
