She may be buried in Airdrie, but in a churchyard that the records no longer exist.

Quite right Sancti, she could have been buried in Clarkston churchyard or, depending on her religion, any of the 3 other kirkyards within Airdrie burgh, not to mention the New Monkland parish burial ground at Glenmavis. She may even be in the parish kirkyard of Slamannan, although it was not her parish of residence, it was probably the closest burial ground. I'm not too familiar with the Caldercruix area, I wonder if there was a burial ground there?
My guess would be Glenmavis, she may be interred with her parents but the original poster does not supply her maiden surname, which may have helped.

Her birth name was Janet Muir, she was born 1801 in West Calder to Thomas Muir and Janet Mackie (also spelled McKay). Her family moved to Bathgate when she was still an infant and remained there until the later half of 1881. Janet’s parents both died in Bathgate. Her father died 1845 followed by her mother in 1852.
