Genealogical novels on offer on Kindle
« on: Sunday 03 November 24 15:32 GMT (UK) »
There are several of Steve Robinson's genealogical novels currently on offer on Kindle at 99p, it's usually best to snap them up ASAP.

I have noticed that there's a new book out by Nathan Dylan Goodwin, if it's been on offer I must have missed it. If it comes up at 99p I'll post here.  :)

All 7 of Steve Robinson’s Genealogical books are 0.99p each at present, worth buying them as a batch.

Nathan Dylan Goodwin’s last Genealogical book was The Deserters Tale which was released in 2023, I am not seeing it on offer nor any of the others although 6 of the 7 are available within Kindle Unlimited which is the monthly subscription option.

The Deserters Tale is available on Amazon Kindle for 3.99 and paperback is 7.99. Think I will put it on my Santa List  ;D ;D

Looking at some other authors of Genealogical books - M.R. Jones, Beth Farrar and Stephen Molyneux.
Have you read any of them ?

I've read The Death Certificate by Stephen Molyneux, I enjoyed it. I bought a secondhand paperback copy during the pandemic, when I received it all of pages had words underlined and comments in the margins. I didn't want to return it so I went through the book rubbing them out as not only were they distracting but some were possible spoilers. I contacted the seller they gave me the option of returning the book at no cost to myself or a partial refund, I opted for the latter, albeit a small amount.

Quite some time later I found the book on my Kindle, it had been there years!  ;D ;D

It was The Deserter's Tale I was referring to as a new one, too expensive for me, I'll wait till it's on at 99p.  :D

The aforementioned 'The Deserter's Tale' (Kindle edition) by Nathan Dylan Goodwin  is now on offer at 99p.
Seems I already bought it back in April, not only that but I've actually read it! I have so many books on my Kindle that I forget what I've read. Either that or I'm losing my marbles.  ;D

Thanks for telling us about "The Deserter's Tale" being on offer.  I've been wanting to read this for a while but was waiting for it to be reduced to 99p on Kindle.  Will get it downloaded now!

Roobarb you are not loosing your marbles. When you read a lot it is easy to forget what you have read.
My late dad kept a notebook with an ABC index and listed every book he read under the author's name so he wouldn't get the same one twice. That was in the days when people used their local library. He took his notebook with him.

I did get 3 books for my Christmas - The Deserters Tale by Nathan Dylan Goodwin, The Death Certificate by Stephen Molyneux and Family Secrets by Beth Farrar. So far I have not managed to read any of them but hopefully soon,

Happy reading,

Dorrie, maybe you know but - you do not need to buy a Kindle device to read Kindle versions of books. If you have a tablet or phone you can download an App. and read them on there. Probably on a proper computer as well.
About the only time I use my Kindle is when I am reading outside in bright light where the Kindles “ink” display works better.
