Looking for Ann.
« on: Tuesday 12 November 24 20:16 GMT (UK) »
Good evening all.
During my brief time off work I've been going back over some gaps in our tree. On hubbies line we had pencilled in a death date for. Ann Casbolt nee Saville as @ 1851 but when looking
around found that death is for an 18 year old....So moving forward looking for her I found  a marriage in East Farleigh in 1859 for Ann Casebolt to John Prentis.
Ann a widow father Joseph Savehall. Now could that he her??.
In 1864 Ann Prentice dies in Linton Cambridgeshire , Linton being where our Ann lived prior to marriage.
In 1865 John Prentis now a widower marries Mary Ann Rackett.
Ok that's the info where I'm stumped is..... Where is Ann and John Prentis in 1861?
Any fresh eyes that can help?

  Many thanks

Tazzie

Hi Carole.

Sorry missed that we have Hadstock Essex in 1816. A couple of years out I know but cannot work out who John was and she may have "shaved a couple off".
The baptism gives father as Joshua as well but the similarities of Casbolt/ Saville/Savehall got me wondering.

Hi.
I have just at my post above. The father should read Joseph not Joshua! Predictive text and I didn't even notice.
Her sister Sarah who is with her in 1841 marries in 1842 in Great Abington Cambridgeshire to William Taylor father as Joseph.
Joseph is with Ann's children George and Harriett in 1851.

I've looked but cannot pin Ann and her new husband John down in 1861.

Hi,

Could she be Ann SAYWELL baptised 20 Dec 1813 in Hadstock, Essex. Father Joseph, mother Sarah?

There is also a baptism for a Sarah SAYWELL 20 Oct 1816 this could be her sister.

Sorry that this doesn't help with the 1861 search yet.

Regards,
Daisy

Good morning.

Yes that's got to be her. I never thought of SAY. I've used every combination of Savil/Savell names always using Sav.

Thank you for this . It is a great help. No I can't find her anywhere.!

  Thanks

Still not found Ann or John in 1861 but just to add Ann s burial gives age 50 which matches the birth of Ann with baptism in 1813,  her sister in 1816 ( Sarah). The burial is recorded as St Mary Shudy Camps abode is Linton.

Where is Ann's first husband Richard CASBOLT, in 1841 and 1851 and do you know when/where he died?
I can't find him anywhere.

Morning.

No we are struggling to kill him off!!

Hubby was never interested in my little hobby however we lost his mum in August and he's putting together a book of photos stories and the family history so we are going back trying to sort out the gaps.
I'll keep looking and post what I find.
 Many thanks
