Simpson Jones

I have just googled and saw a post on RootsChat by bootzy re Simpson/Quinn.  A reference in those posts was to my grandfather and ggrandfather  - Isadore Henry Jones and James Simpson.
I am hoping this lovely lady would have some information on Isadore Henry Jones father - James Jones.  I know that he and Eliza married in Tamworth, in 1858 (christmas day), and this is the start of my puzzle.  His name in the records was James Fraser, yet two years later they are having children and all with surname Jones (my birth surname). Was James really Fraser? or Jones? How did he arrive in Australia - his death records indicate he was about 2 years old when he came to Australia. I very much look forward to learning more about James, and appreciate your time
