This is Latin and will mean: In the first place
We also commonly see the word Imprimis (or variant Inprimis) used for this purpose.
The second is meant to be a contraction of It(e)m, but appears to be Itn, probably because there has been significant alteration of this part of the text.
Normally the first in a list would begin Imprimis..., followed by Item..., Item..., Item..., etc.
