I would want to know why if someone asked me to do one.  You say there are justifications, does it directly affect you

Yes it affects us.

Have you done one yourself.

That was really kind of S S  to spend their credits on a certificate for you.

There is a tree on Ancestry which has the marriage of Robert James Davenport to Sarah Jane Russell, described as "for DNA search," although it concentrates on the Russell side, and shows no children.

Sarah Jane born 1887 in Glasgow.

Thank you all very much for your help.

This identity issue has affected our entire lives. So now we have one possibility that Francis Russell Davenport could be Christine's real father.

I looked at the possibility of the other child, Margery Constance Davenport, born in Nantwich District on 1929.
By coincidence, she was also in Walsall in 1939, with a shaw family as Bill (Davenport, Shaw).

Possibly not connected, but mention that on the Nantwich electoral registers, in Weaver ward, for two years only in 1929 and 1930 are
Davenport, Robert James
Davenport, Florence
At 1 Second Wood Street.

Maybe can't be sure from this that they are living as man and wife?
I think I'll attach image on SS's thread if he doesn't mind!

Just out of curiosity, can you not attach here?

Wouldn't it be better to ask a Mod to move this to a board where attachments can be added rather than having two threads running concurrently?
