hi
I am researching Lawrence Doolan (1945) and family. i have found  sons Andrew born in Brockagh 2 oct 1868 and  James 6 june 1870. His wife was Bridget (Graham). They had about 8 other children including my Grandad John joseph 1884 who was born in lanark. Not sure which children were born in Brockagh or Lanar.k I am looking for a marriage for Lawrence & Bridget and any birth info for both. He died in 1901  but can't find a death record in Lanark. Also it says Lawrence was a miner, where would the mine be. They are a Catholic family. I would be very grateful for any help to find out more info or be pointed in the right direction. Thanks

Did Bridget die in 1907, Lanark?
Scotlands People shows this with her mother’s name as Dillon.

If so there is a baptism - 10th May 1845, Rathdown
Bridget - parents James and Elizabeth Grimes

How do you know Lawrence died in 1901?

The family appear in Lanark in 1891 census- birthplaces for the children at home should be listed.

Have you found Lawrence in 1901 census? Is Bridget listed as a widow on her 1907 death registration?

This could be a possibility 1901 census transcribed as Dowling on Ancestry and on Scotlandspeople

Address Woodend Housebank Road Lanarkshire
Lawrence Dowling age 60 born Ireland ( fruit grower )
Bridget Dowling age 60 born Ireland
George 20, John 16, Joseph 14 , Bridget 19 all born Lanarkshire

The address and occupation matches 1891 census

Think you should look at this death 1901
Lawrence Dowling age 62 mothers maiden name Jardine ref 648/80 Lanarkshire
