Looking for a death, for Henry Ayto, born 1917, Doncaster, Yorkshire, England.....and possibly his wife, Betty E S Ayto...we know that at some point they went to South Africa, and possibly had children there......

Can't see an outgoing passenger record for him

Thanks Carole.....I don't know if they came back to England, or not......on one of the electoral rolls for Pontefract there are an Henry and Betty Ayto, and also an Edna S Ayto, possibly their daughter ?....

Nothing showing on the GRO index to 2007 & nothing on GRO online to 2023 by which time he would have been 106 😂

They may have come back for a while then returned to SA

In 1957 Betty is back in Yorkshire, but no sign of Henry, he has either died, they parted company, or he possibly stayed in South Africa....as to Edna S Ayto I can find nothing on her, apart from the 1947 electoral roll.....

That is very interesting, thank you.....Henry's sister Elizabeth Ayto  (1923--2001) also went to South Africa, and married an Edward Jones, who I think was born there....
