Need help with Emlyn Cooper

Please could someone help with Emlyn,
Emlyn born 1896 (c) Monmouthshire married in 1921, to Hilda Morgans, on the marriage certificate Emlyn's father is Joseph Cooper Collier
Parents Joseph and Martha Cooper (former surname Thomas)
Siblings
Fanny 1885-1975
Joseph 1887-1899
Martha Ann b 1890
Evan James 1891-1909
William Walter 1893-1969
Griffin 1896-1957
Arthur b 1899
Reggie b 1900
On the 1911 census the Joseph is a widower and living with a family called Roberts, also there is another son Trevor born 1910 but I cannot find a birth reg for him.
On the 1911 census Joseph had 12 children 5 had died.
I cannot find a birth reg for Emlyn although he is in the census 1901/1911/1921.
Any help would be appreciated

At the moment the GRO birth Index is down so I can't check mother's maiden name

Yes Griffin was born in December 1896 so his birth was not registered until early 1897.
As to Emlyn I also have come across that birth reg entry but on the GRO site the mother's surname is I think Plummer unfortunately cannot check at present as the site is going though maintenance, but certainly not Thomas.
Should also mention Arthur born 1899 dies in 1901 and Reggie dies in 1902.
Reggie's name is registered as Reginald George Cooper.

Sorry another senior moment, Reggie was registered as Reggie Thomas.

Could be Kay, certainly cannot find a marriage between Joseph Cooper and someone called Plummer. Also as far as I can see none of the  siblings married anyone a "Plummer"

That is interesting Kay, thank you doing that. So the birth reg on the GRO site was correct.  I have had a quick look at Joseph and Martha marriage certificate thinking maybe Martha had married before and Plummer was her birth surname but no she was single when she married Joseph.
Will have to get my brain working on , he may of been adopted from a member of the extended family,

If it helps the birth was registered by E F Thomas  Present at Birth Clarence Place, Blaina, Gwent   Maybe he made an error re her maiden name
