Hi I'm having a lot of issues trying to find the parents of George Wright, my 3x Gt Grandfather, he was born in Basford Nottinghamshire in 1850, but I'm having issues finding the right parents for him, any help appreciated.

Presumably he married, who does he name as his father.   Who did he marry and when

He married Annie Bennett who was born in Eastwood in 1865.
Yes I've looked at that one, he doesn't feature on the 1851 census with them.

There is a George Wright with parents John & Hannah in 1851 Calverton

It looks as though they married in the registry Office so it will not be available online

The George in Calverton was bapt JAMES GEORGE Wright 01 Apr 1851, St Wilfrid, Calverton.
Parents JOHN/HANNAH
Father a Stockinger

He seems to have married 1875 but widowed by 1881 and remarried by 1891.
So not likely yours.

May have died though as not with Parents 1851 Census

I looked for George c 1852 +/- 2 years Notts without surname in 1851/1861 Census.

I kept coming back to this one;

I have no idea if related or not.

There is a GEORGE Wright bapt 7 Jul 1851 Normanton to ANN Wright

1871 Rose Ann is a 12 year old servant
Looks like John has remarried.

Also on FreeREG Marriage of Ann WRIGHT/John HILEY    29 Jun 1854
And Burial of ANN Hiley 02 Dec 1860 Elkesley age 30

Maybe not yours either as possibly in Yorks in later Census.

My point is Goege may have been illeg and Mother married later.

As said earlier you need the M/C to Annie to solve this one
