What date and what uniform:

But can anyone narrow the date on this photo

Jack ( Jacob ) at front was born 1888 but it's difficult to age as he's kneeling or sitting .

Barnett( Barney) was born in 1885
I know that he went to Canada at some point but this photo was taken in London with his brothers
He was age 16 in 1901 profession looks like diamond cutter.

How old does he look on this photo ?

Not easy. I will GUESS at late teens but...The experts will know.

Their father died between 1901 + 1911 census

So I'm wondering if they could have had photo taken when he was ill or soon after he died .

1905 would make Bernard 20 and Jack 17

They both look younger .
If the uniform is military there could be records of enlistment

Message from relative is they know nothing about that brother but told me about 1 who went to Australia.
Think she's jacks granddaughter so she may be able to age him .
