Every chance you could have beat me as I struggled to stay awake at yet another lacklustre effort of a 'feature'.

I have the MH equivalent and last used it almost a year ago though I said I run it maybe twice a year in my comment on the upload. I don't know what the parameters Ancestry will set but if it's the same as MH I would only have gained one additional match in the last 12 months. It's a once in a blue moon tool and not easy to interpret.

I too struggled with the pretty dismal effort that My Heritage produced.

I had a large cluster of zero use, no useful matches at all.

I should have two fairly prominent clusters, these being Irish and Italian.

They are there, right at the bottom of the chart and all bar one was already known and in my Tree on Ancestry.

I do hope Ancestry’s no doubt Paid For effort will be worth it.

Cannot see it until such times as real birth names and a rudimentary basic family tree are required to be included by default.

Thats good news!!  Thanks for the heads up

It will be nice to have such a tool that is hopefully actually populated by meaningful Matches as opposed to the rats and mice as per MH!!

Meanwhile I have just been invited to Ancestry Beta Networks.  Anything described as a "game changer" or "exclusive" by the supplier is usually anything but that but we will see

I ran a fresh report on MH as there is a match that came up after my previous attempt. Instead of being in the small cluster of three or four I expected they have been put in with some unknown US matches. I wish they had tested with Ancestry as there would be dozens of matches back to a common ancestor but the constant 'sale' MH have on kits is starting to cause real issues for me and I would imagine many others as well.

Also just had the Beta invite, I'm going to lie in a dark room for a while, someone give me a nudge when common sense returns.

I'm disappointed to not have been invited yet, given that Ancestry evidently think so highly of me.  My proof?  Four days ago, a notification, "here is an interesting detail about Eliza Linton.  Explore this hint now".  So I did explore the hint.  It was for someone else's tree.  Eliza had a solitary source "ancestry family trees".  Ok let's view these trees, perhaps one of them has something I don't.  Trees was a bit optimistic.  Just one.  Mine  ???

Network is showing in the Pro Tools Shortcut window on the Ancestry Home page.

I created a Network based on my tree and nothing.

Its there but has to be populated manually.

Added my Sister.

Went into my tree to a DNA match who I am in contact with and there is presently no means of adding them directly from their Profile page.

Went into my DNA matches to one who is in my tree but again there is no method of adding them to the Network.

Not impressed, hopefully it will become useful one day.
