There's a Mary Hannah Wilson in 1939 in Stillington, Stockton, but born 1871, but she is with a William of right age to be your MH's son.

Confirming that the William in 1939 Stillington IS the son of Mary Hannah & Robert, just viewed his GRO birth record. However, I think Mary's yob is 2 years out, ie should be 1873. Last census has her born Hunwick which comes under Auckland reg district.

Apart from age two years out in 1939, it's all looking good to be our MH, and possible death in 1943

I think the above is NOT the Mary Hannah we are looking for LizzieL, this one appears in 1939 with Gilbert and dies 1943 at the same address as per her probate.

i eliminated Mary living with 2 of her children but couldnt find the other 3

looking at the 1939 census with son William at number 26 = correct

i also notice that at number 28 is another son Jackson who i eliminated her from living with!!!!!!
