One thought that has occurred to me (and this is a stab in the dark) is that Troth came from a family who were not Church of England and her records may not be available.

More likely she was born in a parish which has no surviving records for that time. Looking at a few neighbouring parishes, Bonsall has nothing before 1634, Matlock 1637. It is also common for there to be gaps in records from the Civil War and Commonwealth times, 1640s and 1650s.

Thank you David for your suggestion that nearby oarish records may not be available as their start date is likely to be later than Troth's birth.   I will look into this.

Thabks everyone again for your help.

I too have John Wall 1621 on my tree, but have failed to find any more about Troth. I have traced some earlier generations starting with Richard Wall 1515- 1548 and his wife Clements Birke. However it is some years since I looked at this line so am not confident that they are correct. I have the Darley PR's on disc so will need to review my evidence.
I am descended through  Sarah Wall (1761) marrying Richard Milner (1764)
I would be interested if you manage to turn anything up on Troth!
