Hi guys
This couple are my Great Great grandparents, who moved to Liverpool around 1847 - 1851. They had 3 kids born in Ireland Margaret 1841, James 1843, and Bridget 1847. They first appeared on the England census in 1851. Their life in Ireland is a mystery to me, I have only managed to locate County Mayo down to evidence from my DNA matches and it looks like they may have lived in Louisburg (I think Anne's family are from there) and Inishturk or Clare Island.
One DNA match has found the Griffiths Valuation for Garranty, (Timothy McNamara). He has better documentation than I because his family went to Massachusetts, USA and death records etc contain much more detail. I'm not 100% convinced his tree is my direct bloodline, purely because nobody named Bernard are to be found in his tree, were as every generation of my family has at least one Bernard.
I also have a load of matches with O'Toole and O'Malley on Clare Island and there a Brian McNamara living in Fawnglass in 1901. Is there any way I can narrow this down to the exact location? I'm visiting Ireland in June and plan to visit the islands, it would be really nice to know more before then.
