Need help please to find record of Reginald Woodcock b 1910 in Rotherham

Reginald Woodcock is listed as the youngest member of his family in the 1921 census and I can find nothing about him thereafter.  Nothing in the GRO registers. Help appreciated.

In FreeBMD there is a Reginald Woodcock - death:
SepQ 1979  Louth  7  p6748 - dob 26 Au 1910

His birth was registered SepQ 1910.

He should be somewhere in 1939 or he could have been in the war.

This is a very good fit with his age in the (June) 1921 census which was 10y 10months

That death falls into the gap in the GRO indexes.

In FreeBMD there are three possible 1940s marriages in the region:
Chesterfield Dec 1943
Sheffield Sep 1944
Rother Valley Mar 1948 - and others elsewhere.

ADDED  The 1948 marriage to Marjorie Marcroft gives one possible child registered JunQ 1949 in Rotherham.  However it appears to have been registered twice, three pages apart.

Was just looking at the 1948 marriage. 1939 register for Marjorie Marcroft in Rotherham has marriage 10 Jan 1948.

Also this death that would fit with DOB

In 1939 Marjorie lived in Rotherham Rural District - probably why the marriage is in Rother Valley.
