Hello from Lancashire
« on: Wednesday 14 September 05 19:21 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone :)

new to the forum, but not new to genealogy though....  Thought I'd just say hello and get into the swing of things as it were.

I'm Cheshire born and bred, with a lot of Shropshire/Montgomeryshire on my mothers side.  Also researching my Welsh wife's side, which gives the Gloucestershire/Wales areas a going over!

Going to have a look around now and get used to the place, but I will be back with questions and hopefully some help for others soon.
Cheshire - Breatherd, Habberley, Haddock, Hancock, Hunt, Johnson, Perry, Porter, Rathbone, Senior, Thomason, Warburton, Wilkinson, Wilson, Williams

Lancashire - Forsyth, Haddock, Hanlon

Shropshire & Montgomeryshire - Bore, Davies, Foulkes, Gittins, Habberley, Jones, Lewis, Meyrick, Peel, Reynolds

Staffordshire - Habberley, Mills, Billings, Breeze

A big Welcome to Rootschat from me too!!!!  I hope you find the site helpful with your research.

I see that you have rellies from Montgomeryshire.  Please give me a shout if you need any look ups from the 1851 and 1861 census as I have access to them.   I also have 71 and 91 but they're not indexed but I will still have a look if you can provide me with lots of information.

Wishing you lots of luck,

Jan (another one!!!!)

Any possibilities your Ward & Parker interests also have connections in
North Wales?

Hi again Zelly!

I'm afraid there's no connection I know of to North Wales.  the WARD family is originally from London, PARKER seems to be solid Gloucestershire.....

Hi Jinks,

I see you have  a connection with Belle Chrystall was you aware that in the 1930s she lived at Rosall Grange Farm near Fleetwood?

I was looking at a book of Fleetwood photos at Christmas and it was in the book.

You must be from around that area if your dad helped G.Formby to move house as that is not far away either,
