Hi, Thank you so much for your quick reply, I do already have this info, it is William the head of family I am trying to find his birth date. It states that he was born in Mugul but after lots of searching found it to be Ingol Partington, obviously the transcriber wrote what it looked like to him and the enumerator was not a local, on the image the I does look like M. I have Williams marriage certificate he married Joyce Winstanley 13th March 1851 Carrington. William's father is Hugh Arstall. There is a is a father and son same names same age groups living in Cadishead on 1841 census also a William age 13 living in Partington 1841 that is were my problem is, it would be so easy to go down wrong road. Sorry this is a bit lengthy but don't what helper wasting their time. Regards Jeanc

Hi

It seems IGI only has a few years for Partington. I wonder if it had another name or was the data lost.

It's so easy to go the wrong route.

Sorry can't help
