Clabbie/Clabby
« on: Monday 14 April 25 15:56 BST (UK) »
I am researching the Clabbie/Clabby family, they are all from Edinburgh. James Clabbie born 1871 died 1935 married Mary Ann McRae 1900, Edinburgh, no death date.

Their children are as follows.

Maggie Clabbie b1900 d 1900, James Edward Clabbie b1901 d 1975 have his marriage and children, Maryann E Clabbie b 1904 d 1905, John McLeod Clabbie b 1905 d 1906, Maria Barbara Clabbie b 1906, on the 1921 census there is a Norah Barbara Clabbie aged 14, which means it could be the same child, no marriage date or death in Scotland, but I found a marriage for a Nora Barbara Clabbie, spelt Clabby, married a Arthur John Grose/Grove in York, Toronto, date of marriage 23/5/1933. Archibald R Clabbie b 1908 d 1932, have his marriage and son. Alexander M Clabbie b 1910 d 1938 single, George H Clabbie b 1912 no death date have his marriage and his daughter, Peter Tilly Clabbie b 1914 d 1915, Douglas H Clabbie b 1917 d  1973, married twice. David B Clabbie b 1919 d 1944, have his marriage and son.

I am trying to determine if Norah/Barbara are the same person.

I do have a Nora Barbara Clabbie her parents were Douglas H Clabbie and Mary Hogg both deceased. She was married 1955.

Maria Barbara Clabbie b 1906, on the 1921 census there is a Norah Barbara Clabbie aged 14, which means it could be the same child, no marriage date or death in Scotland, but I found a marriage for a Nora Barbara Clabbie, spelt Clabby, married a Arthur John Grose/Grove in York, Toronto, date of marriage 23/5/1933.

Another emigration image records father as James Clabby.

What address was she at in 1921.
