Jane Gadney (Nee Stevens)
« on: Today at 13:03 »
Jane Stevens Married John Gadney on October 18th 1690 in St Thomas, Oxford. They had 3 Children, Two Johns and a boy named Richard. Can anybody find anything for Janes Death or Janes Husband parents?

Turns out they had 6 children. Not 3.

John born 1690
Richard born 1694
John born 1698
Robert born 1701
William born 1703
Thomas born 1708

Do you know when John Gadney died? There's a John Gadney, of Oxford, cutler, recorded in 1740 and 1742. Or this might be his son. There was also a Thomas Gadney, of Oxford, tobacco pipemaker, recorded in 1711 and in 1697.

Sadly I do not know when he died. The Thomas Gadney Pipemaker could be Johns son perhaps though

Thomas the pipe maker was first recorded in 1697, so he might be a brother of your John Gadney. A bit earlier, in 1667, there was a Robert Gadney, of St Mary Magdalen, Oxford, taking an apprentice, thought it doesn't say in what trade.

Thomas was born in 1708 so it is therefore impossible for him to be the recorded pipe maker
