Thanks for this - 'my' Percy was the one born in Bolton who died in Market Harborough and I'm trying to find out his whereabouts between the 1921 census and the birth of my Aunt in 1929, which are the facts I know are correct. There was another child born in 1925 which is a bit of a mystery as Percy and Lucy weren't married.

From what seems to be your tree on Ancestry it looks like this is Percy’s marriage?

Marriages Sep 1909  Norwich
Percy Charles CLARK to  Alice BROWNE

Yes that's my Percy. He never got round to divorcing Alice, hence the mystery of his life between 1921 when he was in Norwich with Alice, and 1929 when my Aunt was born (with Lucy as her Mum)

In1939 he lived in Dagenham (he was moved there as he was in the footwear trade) whilst Lucy and their children lived in Norwich with her parents. They did move down to him in Essex, briefly, but moved to Leicester as the blitz took hold.
