I am researching Slaney, and have a Sarah Slaney marrying a James Cartlidge from Hanley in 1885. Hope this helps you.

Hi,
I have'nt found any other family of Sahra's as yet, but have found that she was born in Burslem, cant find any birth entry for her.
all I know is that she married George Matthias in 1882. and they had an earthenware business in Hanley, believe it was closed once George died in 1903, he died young at the age of 42years.
