Could someone give me a bit of advice please?
« on: Sunday 18 September 05 19:24 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find the parents of Matthew Francis Moore.   I know he was born c1891 in Enniscorthy.  What I need now, is to obtain a copy of his birth certificate, but I don't know how to go about this, or even if it's possible.  Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Where is Enniscorthy? if it is in Ireland would it not be the Head office in Dublin or Roscommon. The addresses I have are General Register Office
JoyceHouse
8/11 Lomabard St East
Dublin 2

I downloaded an application form from google search ......Register Office etc.
The address I have sent my application to is
Civil Registration Office
Office of the registrar General
Government offices
Convent Road
Roscommon
Co Roscommon

The cost is 6.98 euros.
the phone number if you want to check is

Don't know if this any help.
happy hunting and good luck.

Yes Tisgrannie is right, it's a bit north of Wexford town, still in the County of Wexford.

Although the Lombard Street, Dublin Record Office is still open, it's only for visitors to do the searches themselves.  It's Roscommon for you if you are writing for your certificate.
