If there anyone who can find the marriage of Rees Pugh Roberts to Gwen ?

On the 1871 census for Dolgelley he is living in Victoria Buildings with Gwen and 3 children as a Spirits & Merchant.

As he was a wine merchant maybe he was on business and married while journeying around.

I thought you must have seen it!

You can check for Gwen's maiden name by buying a cert of one of the children - providing you can find the refernece for that of course!

The local registrars index for 1837 to 1950 have been completed on http://www.northwalesbmd.org.uk/ for both the Dolgellau and Bala registration districts. Unfortunately your Rees Pugh Roberts doesn't appear to be there, so he may indeed have married away from the area.

Well I think that today in a matter of hours with all the information I have found on Ancestry that I shall need to put my friends family onto a cd rom so she knows who belongs to whom !!!!!!!!!!!.
