Marriage for David Webb and Eleanor ?
« on: Saturday 24 September 05 00:28 BST (UK) »
Hi All

I not sure that the marriage took place in Oxfordshire around about 1839-1841 between David Webb and Eleanor ?(who could have been a widow).

Known children born in Chipping Norton in early 1840's onwards.

Any baptisms would also be helpful.

Hi Bryan

David's surname was Webb and he was only 20 something in 1841 so I don't think this is them.

Thanks for information though much appreciated.

Hi David/Tricia

Someone else listed the marriage of David Webb on the Gloucs Forum.

As he was noted as only 20 on the 1841 census I dismissed it but looking through the following census years he would have been in his mid 20's and he did have a daughter Sarah aged 5 then.

In 1851 and noted as living in Oxfordshire he has children Sarah 14, Alfred A 10, Samuel 5. Ellen 4 and Lucy Allis 3mo.

I know of other information pass this date but will ask if someone can look up the marriage details on the Glocs forum.

Thank you both.  ;D

P.S.

If anyone can see if the children were baptised at Chipping Norton I would appreciate it.

As I am helping a friend with this information I will not need to get a child's birth certificate to confirm the mother's name as that will be down to her.
