Please could someone tell me what DSQ stands for - under navy records heading " ïf discharged - wither and what cause" on his navy records.

I don't really know - but all I can think of is "disqualified" 
In what context did you read it?

Hi Annie:

It appears after his last service during which he was invalidid - Disqualified would make sense - he doesn't appear to do any naval service after that.
