Stead family of Rochdale

Is there any one out there who has information of the Stead family of Rochdale. Lancashire. England.
My husband was born in Rochdale as was his father, but I can't find any info on relatives and anscestors. Any help would be appreciated.

What is your father-in-law's name and date of birth?  Unless he was born before 1901, you're probably going to have to start by getting a copy of his birth certificate.  Once we get back to 1901, we can start looking on censuses for earlier family.

Have you tried FreeBMD and Lancashire BMD?
