Lookup please, birth or census - PALFREY

hello,
was  hoping some one could do a lookup please of a sidney charles palfrey born about 1886 in rougham.found a christening for him for august 1887 but just says he was born to a single woman.his fathers surname could be something like coxsage but not sure if  thats the right spelling or if thats even right.cant seem 2 find him in census but know he  was in army 4 a while.nickname snowy.

On the 1891 census ref RG112/1447 (page 6) in Kings Hall Street, Rougham, Suffolk West there are:

William Palfrey head, 30, dealer in pigs & cattle  born Rougham
Ellen Palfrey, wife, 29 born Hedsett
Sidney F Palfrey, 10, born in Lastock (?)
and 4 other children all born in Rougham:
Gertrude A 7
Bertie W (age unreadable)
Bertha 2
Inabel (Isabel?) 2 months

Children were not always baptised soon after birth (unless they were sickly!) so the age could be consistent.

What was his mother's maiden name?  It is possible that (like my gt,gt.uncle) he was illegitimate but his mother's future husband gave him his surname.

thankyou but dont think its the right sidney...got a birth for my sidney in 1886,my nan always said her grandad was coxage(sidneys father)which i never took much notice of till i found the baptism of sidney charles palfrey being born to a single mother.im so stuck on this side of my family .

thankyou,just looked on freebdm and a william cocksedge married henrietta palfrey,it looks like ive finally got the right family though sidney was always known has sidney palfrey so he must of kept his name as palfrey latter on. ;)thanks dawn
