Also i am looking for information on Manton and Shireoaks colliery's, as there son Mark Nixon worked for 46 years at these colliery's, so any information on records of these would help a lot.

Can you help us out with a few more clues Ken?

Do you know how old George and Katherine were when they died, what year Mark was born and were there other children?

Hi Heather
I have been told that George was in his Twenty's when he died so i am presuming that Katherine was also in her twenty's when she passed away, as for Mark he was born January 1st 1914 in Sand hill st Worksop. as for other children I'm almost certain that Mark did have brothers and sisters but have no info.
thanks for the help
cheers

Hi Ken

Do you have George & Katherine marriage certificate?

I have two Katherine/Catherine Lee's on my family tree both born at Worksop. What was her fathers name?

There may be a connection

Hi Ken

Without the father's name I can't say if there is a connection with my Lee's or not.

Get back to me when you have her marriage certificate and I will check then

Good luck
