The following headstone transcriptions may be of relevance in the search for Richleys. The first is from Blackhill South graveyard and the other two – sharing a plot – are from Blackhill North graveyard.

who died March 9th. 1877, aged 63 years.
Also JAMES, his Son, died December 25th. 1868, aged 25 years.
Also STEPHEN THOPSON[?], his Son, died May th.17 1871, aged 20 years.
Also ELIZABETH, his only Daughter, died Febry. 21st. 1877, aged 31 years.
WILLIAM RICHLEY,
died April 28th.[?] 1888, aged 50 years.
Also DOROTHY RICHLEY,
who died at 15[?] Thomas Street, Blackhill, February 12th. 1895, aged 83 years.
Also ROBERT HENRY RICHLEY, Son of the above, of Cutlers Hall,
who died July 3rd. 1896, aged 43 years, and was interred at Lanchester.
[This is a large headstone, fallen on its back. There are at least 4 lettering styles used and some of the numbers are difficult to read because of this. The transposed abbreviation in line 6 is transcribed as carved on the headstone.]
