Thanks Peter !   I'm still working on this Siddington family and would appreciate any info on them no matter how small.  At the same time, they were also appearing in the neighbouring villages of Marton, Lower Withington, Swettenham and Goostrey.

My Great grandma was Elizabeth Buckley nee Worth from Siddington. She married my Great grandad John Buckley who was born in Alderley.....he lived in Siddington with Elizabeths parents, after they were married.

IM RESEARCHING WILLIAM BUCKLEY THE CONVICT WHO WENT TO AUSTRALIA.  HE WAS BAPTIZED IN SIDDINGTON CHESHIRE 1872.  MOTHER ELIZA BUCKLEY.  HE TOOK HIS MOTHERS SURNAME AS FATHER WAS UNKNOWN.  HE SERVED IN THE NAPOLIONIC WAR PRIOR TO HIS CONVICTION

Is that year of baptism correct?

Perhaps you could supply links to the convict records so we know where we are - so to speak
