Moffatt family
« on: Tuesday 11 October 05 16:46 BST (UK) »
My grandad James Moffatt b 1880 had a brother Thomas b1885, Joseph b 1879 and half brothers John b 1890 and Frederick b 1896 and half sister Margaret b 1892. The last location I have for them is 1901 census when the family were at Pegswood apart from Joseph who was at Winlaton. Does anyone have any of them in their family tree or can give me further information? Their father was also James Moffatt and his first wife was Martha Guthrie and second Jane. The family originated in Annan in Scotland and moved to Brampton then Haltwhistle and eventually Pegswood.

I will take a look at what I have.  I know that for one of the baptisms...maybe two in my mother's family line, Moffat and Mofat were sponsors.    I just took a brief look...Alea Mofat...Allanton, Berwickshire.
