Hi Shanko,
                   Being a novice at this RootsChat business I am unsure what to do next, I sent in a message on the 23rd Aug 2005 regarding the arrival of the Gillard family to which I have not to date received a direct reply but I keep receiving topic replies regarding South Australian lookups that are nothing to do with my message, Is this normal? and if I unsubscribe the topic would this delete my request?

Hi Dennis

It is sometimes better to start a new thread with a request - your query may have become lost amid all the queries on the thread started by Shanko. You could put a title something like "South Aust Lookup  please GILLARD "

If you unsubscribe, it will not delete your request - you simply won't be notified when a reply to that topic is posted. Again, if you have a request in a separate thread, you will only get notified of your own replies.
