Marriage help please

Can anyone look up the marriage for me of WILLIAM BENNETT and MARY WOODGATE. They married in Buxted in 1805 but i dont think William came from there. So would love to know where he did come from.

Also can anyone look if there is a Marriage for his son JOHN born in 1812 Buxted.

SMI just says both of this parish so not much help I'm afraid.   Have you any idea who John married?   There is no marriage in Buxted but he will have married in the bride's parish anyway.  Only nearby one is in 1838 in Maresfield to Ann Ibbotson.  Have you got him in a census?

Hi Andrea.
Thankyou for looking for me. Were there anymore Bennetts married around the same time as William at all? Or is there a Marriage for Bennetts around 1780 more or less for a bennett who could be Williams Father?
I just cant seem to go any further with these Bennetts and is frustrating.

John actually Married Harriet Gower in Mersham in Kent in 1847. He was about  20 yrs older than her! I think he was married before as 35 seems old to be married a first time.

No luck with other Bennett marriages around 1780 in Buxted but if you don't think he came from there then there won't be!
Have you found him in any census?   He might be alive in 1841 or even 51.  Do you have his death?  What other children did he have?     Were they baptised in Buxted?   Where did they marry?  What is the naming pattern for kids?
You probably need to search the parish registers - either at the local record office or if that is impossible then on film at your nearest LDS centre.    Nothing like going back to basics!  A long job ahead.
