Please can you find the birth/baptism of:

Amos Foster about 1849 lived at Caythorpe but probably baptised at Lowdham. Parents were Joseph and Mary Foster.

Joseph Foster married Mary Bailey at Lowdham 1849 - yes? In 1861 Amos was with them age 13, and there is an Amos Bailey registered Jun 1847 Southwell district

Thanks for the info. I will check the baptism at the archives for confirmation of the parent. It was a suspicion that he was born before they married.
