Hi Shari

Marriages for this area of Kent should be in the Kent Registration Services index:

Think I have found Matilda's marriage.
I see she is Matilda M in 1891.
There is a birth registration for a Matilda Maria in March 1872 Blean, Kent
And a marriage in March 1901, Dover, 2a 1383

Well, I'm afraid I don't know anything else.

In 1891 (if it's her!), she's a servant in Folkestone
RG12/749 134 72
18 Castle Hill Avenue
Matilda M Jordan, servant, single, 19, Kitchenmaid, b. Kent Canterbury

Head of household is Edward Alfred Jee (?), Retired officer late H M 5th Dn Gds

Did you find her marriage at the link Casalguidi gave you? According to FreeBMD she married either a Walter Morris or a Walter Ebenezer Harvey.

I can see a possible match in 1901, but her age is only 26 instead of 29:
RG13/844 62 30
Dover, Kent
9 St Andrews Ter

Walter Morris, head, 26, Postman, b. Norfolk Witton
Maria M, wife, 26, b. Kent Canterbury

Only the marriage cert will tell you if this is her.

Hi Tanja,
With her age differing to the info you passed on, I will keep it for further reference, I feel it may be her, but will look into it more.
Thank you for taking the time to help.
Kind Regards
Shari

Buckland registers have been indexed so I will have a look when next in the library (St Andrew's Terrace is in Buckland parish).  If not, will check St Mary's.
