Traders and Occupants in Robertson Street.

Information taken from Census & Trade Directories

As part of the final Essay for the Local History Certificate from Sussex University, I had to compile a lot of data on Robertson Street and its Residents gleaned from the Census Enumerators Books, Trade & Street Directories, etc.

Below is that Database which I hope will be of use to Family as well as Local Historians and other Genealogists.

During the past few years this database has grown and grown and now virtually covers 100 years of the occupants / tradespeople in Robertson Street between 1850 and 1948.

I have complete coverage of 1917 to 1948 inclusive; approx 90% of 1850 to 1901 (these directories are difficult to obtain) and the part I am currently working on is 1902 to 1916 where I already have entered about 20%, but am managing to enter data on a regular basis to hopefully bring it up to 100% very shortly.

No Directories were printed during the war years of 1939 - 45 inclusive.

If you wish to see data from this database, please contact me via this website.
