I do not think this is the correct birth for Mary Ann, her mother was Leigh

This one not on GRO but on freebmd but a different quarter?
Births Mar 1859
CROUCH Mary Ann
  Sevenoaks 2a 309

So more likely the one posted above.

I note all the baptisms you mention on Ancestry but no census returns, I did see the baptism for Edwin & Alfred on freereg, it notes Father John a Labourer abode Underriver. Mary Ann & John were baptised together on 16 Aug 1859 but Mary Ann was born 16 Feb 1858. Wiiliams baptism also on freereg.

GRO registrations below. Mothers Maiden name YOUNG on all

I note that birth/baptism records at Castleton do not start until 1749 on SP, marriages 1759 and only a few deaths in the 1760s. There are Kirk Session minutes from 1660, it looks like a Robert Armstrong was Minister in the early 1700s?

However there is this on find a grave.

Adam Armstrong 1706 - 1736 Old Castleton Cemetery,
Newcastleton, Scottish Borders.
