Thanks for that Dizzifish. It is most interesting. I checked The Genealogist website and in 1895 45 Bridge Street was being lived in by two men. One of the names I recognise but I cannot remember where from and the other is the one you named. It is strange that I cannot find more information on Ada herself. I checked the same website for any Ada Lindley living in Nottingham in 1891 and I get three, yet when I check My Ancestors more come up. This one is really doing my head in now.
Surely it cannot be so difficult to find a relative from a century ago when I've managed to get all other lines of my family back to the 1600's??
I've even gone so far as to trawl through all the Census Returns for 1891 for both Carlton and Basford and still no joy. The only other thing I can think of is that maybe she married. I found an Ada who married a Lindley and she died in the early 1900's which would tie in but from memory I don't think she lived in the Nottingham area at any time of her short life.
