It looks like it's in A Biographical History of Greene County, Pennsylvania by Samuel Penniman Bates from 1975.  https://www.google.com/books/edition/A_Biographical_History_of_Greene_County/24hjM1JTWxcC?hl=en&gbpv=0

There is an obituary for Jean from the Asbury Park Press - https://www.newspapers.com/article/asbury-park-press-obituary-for-jean-john/148590675/  I didn't see anything for her in Seattle.

In the 29 Nov. 2007 Seattle Post-Intelligencer, there is this under King County Deaths:

"JOHNSTON, Bernice, 107, of Seattle, Nov. 12."  I didn't see anything with more detail.

This is a very old post, and the original poster has not returned here in almost 10 years.  It would be best if people don't waste their time on these unless we know that further research is actually needed and the original poster is still interested in seeing further information.

The above post is over 18 years old.  This information may have been found long ago.  If you have specific information for people, it's fine to add to an older post, but I don't want you to waste your time searching if a thread hasn't been updated in a long time.

There's an article about Reuben's 90th birthday with a lot of detail about his life - https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-glens-falls-times/148217474/

Reuben's marriage record lists his mother as Nellie Dwyer - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:KZMR-MWD - so that's probably where that came from.
